Shannon Pasma is a Grade 2 Teacher in Alberta, Canada. She is currently completing a Masters of Elementary Eduction in Technology in Education through the University of Alberta. In her classroom, Shannon likes to integrate technology and universal design for learning principles into daily classroom tasks. Though the use of technology, her students have many opportunities to develop positive digital citizenship skills and behaviours.
Christine Quong is a Collaborative Lead Teacher, in central Alberta, Canada. In this role, she facilitates and leads the professional collaborations among teachers and supports their application of universal design for learning and differentiated instruction. Her teaching career has allowed her to work with a wide range of students K-12. She is currently working towards a Masters of Education in Educational Technology through the University of Alberta. Integrating technology into the classroom is one of her passions. In her classroom, she uses tools like Twitter, Skype and student blogs to connect students with the world. By using tools like these with her class, she gives her students authentic opportunities to learn about being responsible digital citizens.
